Black Spanish Radish
(Raphanus sativus)

A tender annual heirloom. Certified organic! Has nearly black skin and snowy white flesh. Will keep all winter in good conditions. Medium-hot flavor. One of the best foods for the liver. Good eaten raw or cooked. Try them grated in your salad or grated into a lentil or split pea soup. A winter variety popular in Europe since the 1500’s. Crisp, pungent, spicy white flesh. An annual. Certified organic! Cherry Belle radishes are round and bright, cherry red, about inch in diameter. The flesh is crisp, firm, and white. It’s a good keeper and can be planted all summer long. This variety is a fast maturing, early-season radish, best used immature in salads and condiments. Plant in cool weather. Radishes are a great source of vitamin C.
