(Brassica oleracea, Botrytis group)

Hardy Annual Heirloom. Certified organic!  Delicious, bluish-green close-beaded heads can reach 8″. Produces until frost with several side shoots after the central head has been harvested. Brought with Italian immigrants in the late 1880’s. Good for home or market, freezing, and canning.  Start seeds indoors 6 to 8 weeks before last frost.  Can be seeded directly in garden beds 4 weeks before last frost, and also in late summer for a fall crop!  Broccoli is rich in vitamins A, C, and K, as well as potassium, phosphorus and iron.  60 days to maturity.  Approx. 50 seeds in regular packet. 10 seeds in sample packet.

A traditional open pollinated variety.  Certified organic!  Produces small 3 to 4 inch heads and side-shoot spears over a long harvest period.  Grows well in spring and fall. 50 days to maturity.  50 seeds in regular packet. 10 seeds in sample packet.

Copenhagen Market Cabbage
(Brassica oleracea)

A danish heirloom green cabbage introduced in 1909. Certified organic! Solid heads reach 6 to 8 inches in diameter and weigh 3 to 4 pounds. They rarely burst. Medium sized plants are ideal for small gardens. Start indoors six weeks before last frost. 70 days from transplant. Make sure cabbage plants have a regular supply of water. A biennial open-pollinated variety. Certified organic! Express Red’s uniform heads grow to approx. 3 to 4 pounds on a compact frame with fewer outer leaves. This early variety is relatively split resistant and stores well. Delicious raw, cooked or pickled. Start indoors 6 to 8 weeks before last frost and then transplant to outdoor garden beds. 55 days to maturity. 20 seeds in regular packet. 5 seeds in sample packet.

A popular early open-pollinated variety. Certified organic! Compact round heads store better than most early cabbages. Can be used raw or cooked. Heads are deep red and 6 to 7 inches in diameter.
